My Practice
– Working with me
Do you feel you need some counselling or an initial chat? If you do please contact me. Following your communication we would agree an appointment for an initial interview. This is intended to be a time when you can explain a little about yourself and the difficulties you are facing while also coming to my practice to meet me and for us to decide if we would like to work together.
During the meeting I would expect to ask you some questions about your life as it is now and how it has been in the past. I may take notes during that meeting; I would not usually take notes during formal counselling sessions.
– The admin bit
- In advance, I will send my terms and conditions which covers payment, cancelled appointments and holidays. Once you have familiarised yourself with these terms, you may have questions which we can discuss at our initial meeting.
- If you would like to commence counselling, we will both sign the terms and conditions and you keep a copy. Then we an agree a date and time for a regular weekly session, until the counselling ends.
- Anything that you say or takes place during counselling sessions is confidential and will not be disclosed to a third party without your express consent.
My practice
My practice is based in Leckhampton, Cheltenham, in quiet private rooms with off-street parking.

– What I charge
Initial Interview (if conducted) – £60/session (this charge is only made should you decide to proceed with counselling).
Counselling sessions – £60 per 50 minute session
Couples Counselling (initial interview and session rate) from £80/60 minute session. A charge for the initial interview is only made should you decide to proceed.

– Qualifications
I am a member of The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society. As such I am bound in my work by the societies Ethical Framework. I qualified through a University of Gloucestershire accredited course with five years of training. I have a specialist training in Couples Counselling with The Centre for Relational Couples Therapy in Bath.
I am fully insured, have Disclosure and Barring Service clearance. I also engage in ongoing Continuing professional development.
